 Lake County Farm Bureau Scholarship Program 

The LCFB Scholarship Program was organized to provide financial assistance to Lake County students who show a desire to pursue a career in the agricultural industry. The scholarships are awarded annually and are based upon academic achievement, career goals, extracurricular activities, determination, leadership skills, and a commitment to study agriculture.

2022 Scholarship Recipients

Hanna Scully

Hanna Scully is a 2021 graduate of Kelseyville High School. Hanna attends California State University, Chico studying Agricultural Business with a minor in Spanish. Hanna is involved in many clubs at CSU, Chico including Womxn of Ag and Crop and Horticulture. She serves as an Ag Ambassador and was an active member in FFA.

Allison Brown is a 2022 graduate of Middletown High School. She is studying to become an elementary school teacher at Cal Poly, SLO. In high school, she played both volleyball and basketball at the varsity level. Allison was involved in Student Body Government and has received many awards both academically and for sports.

Atlantis Jones is a 2022 graduate of Upper Lake High School. She was an active member in FFA, Associated Student Body, Academic Decathalon and 4-H. Atlantis plans to attend Chico State University to pursue a degree in Natural Sciences. She plans to become a veterinarian and give back to her community.

Zoey Petrie graduated from Upper Lake High School in 2022 and will be attending Multnomah University to further her education. While playing basketball at the university, she will study history. Zoey was a part of Mock Trial, FFA, and Associated Student Body. She played numerous sports, including varsity volleyball and basketball, softball, track and field, and cross country.

Robert Harper

Iyali Aguirre

Atlantis Jones is a 2022 graduate of Upper Lake High now attending Chico State University. Atlantis is pursuing her dream of becoming a veterinarian. She served as an officer in the National FFA Organization and achieved high honors in her academics.

Zoey Petrie graduated from Upper Lake High School in 2022 and is continuing her education in Multnomah University, where she also plays basketball. Zoey was a member of FFA, Mock Trial, and Associated Student Body. She played numerous sports: volleyball, basketball, softball, and cross country. She is pursuing an undergraduate degree in history and plans to attend law school. After law school, she plans to support the agricultural community and help people.

Robert Harper, a 2022 graduate of Upper Lake High is double majoring in secondary education and social studies. He is in his freshman year at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater. Robert was involved in FFA, where he competed in speakig competitions and showed swine. He was involved in Associated Student Body, atheltics, and Lake County Theater Company.

Iyali Aguirre graduated in 2022 from Kelseyville High School where she was very involved in FFA, serving as the North Coast Region President and a National FFA convention delegate. She showed swine and competed in the State Job Interview Speaking competition.  Iyali is attending Universidad Cuantemoc Plantel Aguascalientes in Mexico, to study veterinary medicine and animal husbandry. 

Alexis Gonzalez

Alexis Gonzalez is a 2022 graduate of Kelseyville High School. He plans to attend University of California, San Diego earning a Bachelors of Science in Psychology. He was involved in Rotary Interact Club, Environmental Club, Associated Student Body, and Lake County Symphony Association, Youth Orchestra. He plans to become an attorney or psychologist.

Allison Bryant is a 2020 graduate of Kelseyville High School. Allison was a stellar scholar-athlete in high school and has been recognized at the state level. She was also an active FFA member.She will be attending Catawaba College in North Carolina to continue her volleyball career while earning a degree in Environmental Science.

Rebecca Harper is a 2019 Upper Lake High School graduate. Rebecca will be entering her junior year at Oklahoma State University where she majors in Animal Science; Livestock Production. Rebecca is very involved at OSU and in the community of Stillwater. She plans to attend law school and work as a private attorney for an agricultural company.

Abbey Brown

Abbey Brown is a 2020 Middletown High School graduate. Abbey was an outstanding multi-sport athlete at MHS, earning many honors. Additionally Abbey has a passion for community service and specifically fostering animals. Abbey will be attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in the fall as a pre-veterinary animal science major. Abbey dreams of becoming a veterinarian and caring out her passion for helping animals.

Jared Pyzer is a 2020 Middletown High School graduate. Jared was an outstanding football and wrestling athlete throughout high school and has been recognized as the section MVP. Jared loves serving his church and youth wrestling programs. He will be attending UTI with hopes of becoming a mechanic.

Madison Naughton

Rayne Reese is a 2020 Middletown High School graduate. In highschool Rayne played multiple sports in addition to being an active FFA member. Rayne enjoyed competing on the MHS Livestock Judging Team. She will be attending Santa Rosa jr College to complete her GEDs and will then transfer to a four-year university to study veterinary medicine.

Madison Naughton is a 2020 Lower Lake High School graduate. Madison was extremely involved in leadership at LLHS. She has also received state and national recognition for her dedication to our community. Madison will be attending UC Davis as a international relations and linguistics major. She plans on working for the government as an international correspondent.

Rebecca will be attending Oklahoma State in the fall majoring in animal science and livestock production. Rebecca hopes to pursue a career as a livestock company representative.

Adrian is a 2019 graduate of Kelseyville High School. Adrian will be attending Mendocino College in the fall to major in forestry while also continuing his baseball career. He plans to become a fish and game warden at the conclusion of his education.He has an enormous passion for wildlife and the outdoors.

Ariana has a passion for agriculture and hopes to be an agricultural educator in the future. She is a previous KHS and Mendo Lake FFA officer.

Steven is a 2019 Kelseyville High School graduate. Steven served as the 2018-2019 FFA Chapter president and as the Mendo Lake FFA Treasurer. Steven will be attending Chico State University to major in Agriculture Business.One of Steven's goals is to eventually have his own farm and raise many species of animals. Steven has previously raised market swine.

Jackie is a 2019 graduate of Kelseyville High School. Jackie has been involved in the K-Corps and the Kelseyville Community for Rescue and Public Service. Jackie will be attending California State University Stanislaus to major in nursing. She is passionate about helping others and wishes to become a role model for younger children to demonstrate that anything is achievable.

Angel is a 2019 Kelseyville High School graduate. Angel will be completing his general education at Mendocino College and transferring to UC Berkely to study Biology. Angel's interest in biology stemmed from his experience in FFA. His goal is to assist in revolutionizing and developing the agriculture industry to most benefit the people of the United States.

Evan Holdenried is a 2019 graduate of Kelseyville High School. Evan will be attending Butte Community College where he plans to complete his general education and continue his swimming career. Evan has been an active FFA member throughout high school, swims competitively and assists with his family's hay hauling business. Evan is interested in pursuing a career in agriculture business, engineering or possibly law enforcement.

2018 Scholarship Recipients

Megan Franco

Megan Franco is a 2017 Graduate of Upper Lake High School, she graduated as the Salutatorian of her class. Megan is in her first year at UC Davis majoring in Agriculture and Environmental Education with the hopes of becoming an Agriculture Teacher and an FFA Adviser.Megan is pursuing her American degree. Megan hopes to give back to the FFA Organization because of all the doors it opened for her, and for its part in her realizing her passion for agriculture.

Delaney Love is a 2018 graduate of Upper Lake High School, she graduated as Valedictorian of her class. Delaney will be attending Chico State in the fall majoring in Political Science with minors in Agriculture and French. Delaney aspires to be an Agriculture Advocate. She yearns to ignite social change toward a more humane, civic, and healthier society.

Nicholas Warner is a 2018 Graduate of Upper Lake High School, he graduated as Valedictorian of his class. Nicholas will be attending UC Davis in the fall majoring in Computer Science. He plans on getting his Bachelors degree and working as a software engineer. 

Serena Onate

Serena Onate is a 2018 graduate of Lower Lake High School. She will be attending UC Davis in the fall majoring in Agricultural and environmental sciences. She was the Chapter President of Lower Lake High School as well as Vice President on the Mendo/Lake Sectional team. 

Yareli Lozano

Ariana Montero-Pille  is a 2018 graduate of Kelseyville High School. Ariana will be attending Chico State in the fall, majoring in Agriculture Education and science. She was the Chapter President of Kelseyville High School as well as Mendo/Lake Sectional President. 

Hailey Finch

Hailey Flinch

Hailey Finch is a 2017 Graduate of Kelseyville High School. She is in her first year at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo to major in Animal Science. She hopes to attend veterinary school after completing her bachelor's degree. Hailey plans to become either a large animal or exotic animal veterinarian.

Yareli Lozano is a 2018 graduate from Kelseyville High School. She will be attending UC Davis in the fall majoring in nutrition and kinesiology. She participates in cross country and track.

Carli Mendonca is a 2017 Graduate of Kelseyville High School. She will be attending Butte Junior College to obtain a Bachelor's Degree in Child Development. She plans to explore this field in order to choose the right profession for her. 

Kyle Ellis

Blair Brookes

Blair Brookes is a 2014 graduate of Kelseyville High School and is currently a junior at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where she is studying Agribusiness. After she finishes her Bachelor's Degree she will remain at CalPoly to receive her Master's Degree in Agriculture Education. She plans to work in agriculture policy, then she wants to be a teacher as a secondary career.

Kyle Ellis is a 2017 graduate of Kelseyville High School. He will be attending Santa Rosa JC in the fall to study Criminal Justice. Kyle's family has been apart of the Lake County Agricultural Community since the 1900's. Kyle plans to become a California Fish and Game Warden.

Victor Cacho

Riley Goff

Riley Goff is a 2017 Graduate of Kelseyville High School. This fall, she will be attending Sonoma State University. She plans to continue her successful volleyball career at Sonoma State where she will also be studying to pursue a career in business administration.

Victor Cacho is a 2017 Graduate of Kelseyville High School. Victor will be attending Sacramento State University in the fall to earn his Bachelor's degree in criminal justice. 

Wyatt Jones

Wyatt Jones Graduated from Middletown High School in 2016. He has since completed his first year at Reedley College where he plans to attend for one more year to complete his Associates Degree, then he will transfer to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. Wyatt's career goal is to become an Agricultural Engineer. Wyatt also wants to complete his Private Pilot's License to crop dust.

Hailey Finch is a 2017 Graduate of Kelseyville High School. In the fall she will be attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo to major in Animal Science. She hopes to attend veterinary school after completing her bachelor's degree. Hailey plans to become either a large animal or exotic animal veterinarian.

Nicholas Dudley

Carson Holdenried

Nicholas Dudley graduated Clear Lake High School in 2015. After consideration and time he has decided to make a carrer in Agriculture. Nicholas will be attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo this Fall 2016, here he will be majoring in Agricultural Systems Management as well as becoming an Educator for Agriculture. 

Carson Holdenried is a graduate from Kelseyville High School, Class of 2016. He will be attending Chico State University this Fall where he will accomplish his goal to earn a Crop Production & Agricultural Business Degree. Carson's future goal is to manage a large Farming Operation. 

Wyatt Jones

Wyatt Jones graduated from Middletown High School this past Spring 2016. Wyatt plans to attend Reedley Community College for two years and receive his Transfer AA. Afterwards Wyatt willtransfer to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo State University. There he will further his educational goal to becoming an Agricultural Engineer.

2015 Scholarship Recipients

Lindee Jones

Lindee Jones graduated from Middletown High School in 2012 and is currently attending Chico State University where she is studying to become an agricultural pest control advisor. Jones has interned with Lake County Farm Bureau and also with a local agribusiness company. 

Glenn Mostin

Glenn Mostin is a graduate of Kelseyville High School who has gone on to study agriculture science at Butte College.

In the spring of 2016 he plans to transfer to Chico State University where he will finish his bachelor of science degree and then apply to become a California Certified Pest Control Advisor and Certified Crop Advisor. He also plans to seek a Qualified Applicator License. 

Blair Brookes

Blair Brookes is a 2014 graduate of Kelseyville High School. She is attending Cal Poly and has already achieved sophomore standing with heavy course loads each semester. Brookes is pursuing a degree in agribusiness, after which she plans to attend law school and focus on agriculture policy.

Mary McCallister

Mary McCallister graduated from Kelseyville High School in 2015 and plans to attend Santa Rosa Junior College to explore career avenues in agriculture. Once she has narrowed her focus, she hopes to transfer to Cal Poly San Luis Obispo to work for a degree in her chosen agricultural field. 

FFA's Blue Jacket Bonanza

Launched in 2010 by the Santa Barbara County Farm Bureau, the Blue Jacket Bonanza program was developed to provide area students involved in FFA the opportunity to earn their own blue jacket. To be granted a jacket the students are required to complete an application process which entails a written essay, personal interview and community service.
